Press-On and Level Up

Hey B.F.F. Sisters,

How are you all doing? How is your mental state? How are you doing physically?

In less than a week's time so much has changed. COVID-19 has spread rapidly throughout the world. Mass cancelations have continued to sweep through the nation from concerts, sporting events, amusement parks, restaurants, malls, and even churches have been advised to close. COVID-19 has affected the unimaginable. People have lost their jobs, schools have been forced to close, and many lives have been lost. So many have been affected.

If you are struggling...

If you are stressed...

If you are worried...

If you are unsure...

Here at B.F.F, we want to pray for each person that will read these words. We want to create a tribe that will band together in times of need. We pray that your family is blessed. We pray that your home is protected and that God will continue to keep you through this season. We know as believers this too shall pass. God will and shall protect us. I know this firsthand. We can stand firm on His promises.

I know this and I'm not worried about what is to come. So during my quiet time with God this week, I begin to ask God what is it that He would have me do now? How do I make the most of this time? And quietly the Holy Spirit spoke Press-On, Level Up.

In today's post, I want to share with you all what the Holy Spirit shared with me on how to best utilize this time as we social distance and quarantine.

1. Shift your Perspective to Praise

  • In Philippians 4:4, it tells us to rejoice in the Lord always. Not sometimes but always. Not when we feel like it, but in the good and bad rejoice.

  • Matthew 6:26-27 tells us, "Look at the birds of the air, they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"

  • So I ask you, "Are you not much more valuable than the birds?" God our Heavenly Father has placed us in this Earth and He shall provide for us. So shift your murmuring and complaining to Praise. Thank God for all He has and continues to do in your life.

2. Press into the Word of God

  • Matthew 6:33-34, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

  • Seek after God's kingdom, Press into His word so that your relationship with God will go to the next level. Imagine where your faith, your trust, your relationship could be if you were intentional about each day and seeking Him first. The world better watch out!

3. Unplug

  • Turn off the TV! Put down the phone! Enjoy time with your family! Enjoy time with God! Do not let this time pass you by. Take this time to progress, press on., and level up!

This time has been so surreal! However, I truly believe that if we take intentional steps in growing our relationship in God we will be so much stronger. Watch out world because here we come! All the things I desire will come to past!

B.F.F. sisters you all be blessed!
