It’s Sunday, and you know what that means!! New blog post! It’s also the first day of the week and a day that we as a nation often come together in unity to worship God. Don’t get me wrong; you better believe he’s worthy of our praise every day, and we should worship him all the time, not just on Sunday. He’s been too good for us not to praise him every day. So with that being said, I am grateful for every moment that he gives me.
In recent news, there has been constant talk about Covid-19, a new virus that is trying to have its way around the world. This virus has claimed a tremendous amount of lives. There are people all over the globe, dying at a rapid pace. It has instilled fear into the hearts of many, and while we should most definitely use wisdom and not take it lightly, we can’t let fear cripple us. Wisdom comes from God, and with that wisdom is how we know what to do and how to react! In Proverbs 2:6, it says, “And here’s why: GOD gives out wisdom free, is plain spoken in Knowledge and Understanding. He’s a rich mine of Common Sense for those who live well, a personal bodyguard to the candid and sincere. He keeps his eye on all who live honestly, and pays special attention to his loyally committed ones (Proverbs 2:6-8 MSG).” God watches over us and, more importantly, his word so he can perform it. I come to tell you that we can pray against this attack of the enemy! Our God is bigger than this pandemic, and this week I want to talk to you about applying pressure in the fire.
Most times, when the fire gets too hot, we tend to want to get out of the kitchen. We tend to back away, back down, and do whatever we can do to stop it from burning us. But in this hour we must stay in the fire, repent, pray and stay on watch. Call on the angels to intercept every plot, ploy, and scheme or whatever you choose to call it of the devil on our behalf and then to take charge over us and turn what Satan meant for evil into something God can use for our good. We can’t back away from the heat because it’s time to turn up the heat in especially in our prayers.
A Man of God once said that this is an hour where we will truly see who trust God! We must not forget that God is still large and in charge! We are his people, his birthrights, and WE have to take the limits off of God and walk in the dominion that he has given us! “When God made his promise to Abraham, he backed it to the hilt, putting his own reputation on the line. He said, “I promise that I’ll bless you with everything I have—bless and bless and bless!” Abraham stuck it out and got everything that had been promised to him. When people make promises, they guarantee them by appeal to some authority above them so that if there is any question that they’ll make good on the promise, the authority will back them up. When God wanted to guarantee his promises, he gave his word, a rock-solid guarantee—God can’t break his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable. We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. It’s an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the very presence of God where Jesus, running on ahead of us, has taken up his permanent post as high priest for us, in the order of Melchizedek.”(Hebrews 6:18-20 MSG)
Understand that standing on God’s promises through prayer and believing his word along with making right confessions is what’s going to get us through this. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. I plead the blood of Jesus over our Nation, Wichita, Ks, all of its surrounding areas, and all of its occupants in Jesus’ name! God can’t deny himself, so it’s time to take him at his word and speak to this thing and tell it to cease and to desist. We must call it out as though it were although it is not. Based on our sight, it looks terrible, but we have to walk by faith and not by our view. He has to do what he said he would do, and one thing is for sure and that is the blood still works. God will give power to his people! We must walk in what we know and know who’s we are! It’s time to apply pressure! He hasn’t given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind!
The Bible says if my people who are called by name shall humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and heal their land. So BFFs apply some pressure and remember that this too shall pass, and God must keep his word! Amen!!! We love you and until next time with Love, Grace, and a Happy Face!
Ps. Do me a favor and check out Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts message. I promise you'll be blessed and leave encouraged telling the devil he gone get this pressure!!!!
