Hey, B.F.F.'s Happy Sunday! It is the last Sunday of the month, and this month, let alone this year all around the world has been tough! It's been hard, frustrating, emotional, depressing, uncomfortable, a test of our faith, and there are so many other words I could use, but most of all, I want to say a blessing nevertheless! That's right; I said a blessing. During a time when so many people have felt defeated and hopeless, God has continued to keep many of us! If you woke up this morning that is a blessing. If you still have a job, it's a blessing; if you still have a roof over your head, it's a blessing. If you can come home to your children at night, it's a blessing. We tend to take the small things for granted, but someone somewhere didn't wake up, and they don't have another chance to get it right. Tomorrow isn't promised. So as I stated last Sunday, it is a beautiful day to be alive and amongst the living. Take advantage of every moment. Use your voice, resources, and privilege and influence to help someone else, and within our B.F.F. community, that is what we are endeavoring to do. We are praying for our country and praying that the hearts of people will begin to change.
I honestly have tried to find the words expressing how I feel with all this madness going on in the world, but I can't find the right words. I don't know if there is any, but I know that we are hurting. In the midst of my sadness today I was reminded by Pastor Todd to take a knee. Get on your knees and fight in prayer! Kneeling is a sign of reverence and a submissively prone position that we should take to the only one that can change this thing, and that's CHRIST!
Today Brittany and I would like to use our influence as mothers and encourage other mothers to continue to work towards being great mothers and women of God. It is only by the grace of God that we can stand and live boldly, freely, and faithfully in Christ. As moms, life can get hard sometimes, and that is why this month, we chose to interview women from different races, backgrounds and walks of life. Every woman we have interviewed has struggled at one point or another. We are all different but yet the same. All of these women can offer advice and insight on motherhood. It was our prayer to create a safe space for like-minded women to feel comfortable and to know that they are not alone on this journey. Life gets hard and overwhelming, BUT GOD! I promise he will restore our faith and hope again; all you have to do is trust him. Be still and know that he is God.
Today you will hear from an amazing daughter, mother, sister, cousin, and friend. Brittany and I had the honor of interviewing Mrs. Nadia Smith, and I am telling you it was nothing short of phenomenal from beginning to end. Nadia is a wife and mother of two children, and she recently graduated from WSU's Dental Hygiene program.
Nadia drops gems all through this interview! Please take some time actually to sit, watch, and listen to it. Don't just read this passage and click off. I promise this will bless your life and give insight and perspective on things you may or may not have even thought about before. Click the video and listen to how this independent woman became a wife and a mom that lives boldly, freely and faithfully in christ by doing everything through him.
Be blessed and encouraged, and until next time with love, grace, and a happy face, we hope and pray that you are living a bold, free, and faithful life in Christ.
With Love and Hugs,
